I'm running in the Mississauga Marathon, half marathon this year on May 7 and I am fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society. Last year, I ran this same race and it was a truly self-empowering experience. My intention this year, is to be up to something bigger than myself and run this race for the people not just in my life but all the people who have suffered, fought or passed away as a result of cancer. Each kilometre I run, I will be thinking of these people; any time I want to give up, slow down or stop I will remind myself why I’m out here, to run for those who can’t and run for those effected by this disease. I’m sure each and every one of us has encountered this disease, through family, friends, coworkers, etc. so help me raise money to support the fight against cancer!
With your donation, please feel free to leave a name of someone who has suffered, fought or passed away and I promise to think of their name as I run 21km.
FYI: The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thank you so much for your support!
All the love,
