Welcome to My Personal Page
I'm posting this at the 11th hour, but I'm proud to be taking part in my FIRST EVER hockey tournament starting this Friday, and carrying over into the weekend.
People who know me know that I have a love for the game of hockey, but many people don't know that I've also had personal experience with cancer. In my mid-twenties, after a visit to a Dermatologist, I was diagnosed with Stage 0 Melanoma (skin cancer). Thankfully, the melanoma was caught at the earliest stage (stage 0 meaning the cancer was only on the surface of the skin), and removal was quick and easy. The scar that I was left with helps serve as a reminder of how fortunate I am, and how suddenly lives can be impacted by this horrible disease.
If you've read this far, maybe spare a few extra moments to toss a donation my way to help body check cancer!
