The Canadian Cancer Society Oxford County Community Office presented Cool Runnings Trail Race - a competitive 10K and 5K, and Kid Fun-Run to raise funds to fight cancer. We are proud to announce that through our generous participants, supporters, and donors, $11,385 was raised to fund life-saving cancer research and support to people living with cancer and their families, making our five-year total $48,394!
All 143 Cool Runnings Trail Race participants received gift bags courtesy of our 5 KM Sponsor All About Health Remedy’s Rx, as well as finishers’ medals. Of those, the 24 children in the Kids Fun Run also received a pumpkin courtesy of Thames River Melons with their finisher’s medal!

These winners as well as top male and female in each age category of the 5 and 10 K received 1st place medals as well as choosing from the overflowing prize table, provided by our very generous community supporters. Numerous others won a trip to the prize table through the draw for fundraising over $100, or by completing an evaluation form for the event. A big thank you to our generous prize community supporters listed below! Six runners will also be receiving a specially designed long-sleeved Cool Runnings Trail Race shirt for raising more than $300 congratulations and thank you so much! Post-race snacks were provided by Scotts No Frills, Gunn’s Hill Artisan Cheeses, Tim Hortons, Dominos Pizza Woodstock, Thames River Melons, and Time to Chill. A more beautiful fall day could not have been possible. The park was radiant in colour and the trails were enjoyed by all.
