Welcome to My Personal Page
I am honoured to be a co-chair for Pink in the Rink this year. Unfortunately, most people are impacted by cancer and this is a great way to fight back. My mother is a cancer survivor and I’m happy to be able to help in this fight.
Information about Women’s Cancer Research
1 in 9 Canadian women will develop breast, cervical or ovarian cancer in their lifetime.
The Canadian Cancer Society has invested over $136 million in life-saving women’s cancer research in the past 20 years which has resulted in the Canadian survival rate in breast cancer to increase from 73% to 87% and in ovarian cancer from 40% to 45%.
In addition, due to early detection and better therapies breast cancer death rates has decreased 44% since 1988. Progress is being made but so much more is needing to be done.
Make a difference and help us raise funds for cancer research form women.
