Why join Tour De Rock? Of course because it raises money for important pediatric cancer research! But it’s more then that. Like all of us it has touched or taken a large number of family, friends, peers and colleagues.
This will be my 5th long distant bike tour which primary goal is to fundraise money for sick children.
I’ve fundraised for and completed Cops for Cancer -Tour de Coast twice, which takes participants 800 kilometres along the Sea to Sky corridor as well as the Sunshine Coast, North Shore and cities in greater Vancouver.
Also I’ve fundraised for and completed the challenging Cops for Kids ride twice which takes place in the Kootenays and Okanagan in a 1000 kilometres journey.
This year I’ll be representing the Oceanside RCMP and the Canadian Cancer Society as part of the Cops for Cancer Tour De Rock team and ride all of Vancouver Island from northern tip near Port Hardy to Tofino/Ucluelet then to Victoria this fall to raise money for pediatric cancer and camp good times. The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
