Joanne Hum courageously fought a 3 year battle with a rare Bile Duct cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma) since August 2016. She passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019 with the love of her family surrounding her.
Joanne was a caring and generous person who loved and cherished her family and friends. Her love for her only son, Jamie, was to the moon and back, and infinity. She lived a vibrant life and will be missed more than words could ever express. It is Joanne's wish that a donation be made in lieu of flowers to cancer research for Bile Duct cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma) and to fight this disease that robbed her of quality of life and time.
February is Bile Duct Cancer awareness month and represented by a kelly green cancer ribbon. Please take the time to spread awareness so that others affected with this rare cancer will have a fighting chance.
Through this page, we hope to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. We embrace this mission and hope you do too. With continued support for the Society, fewer people in the future will have to lose their loved ones before their time.
Every donation to this page brings us one step closer to preventing cancer, detecting it earlier, improving treatments and helping Canadians live longer, healthier lives.
Together, we can change cancer forever.
All funds donated through this page will support the work of the Canadian Cancer Society. The Society makes more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.
Please make a generous gift today.
Sincerely,
Joanne's family
