April 23rd - 27th
The medical students of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry are pleased to announce the 4th annual Head for a Cure campaign at the University of Western Ontario!!!
This year, one faculty member and over 20 medical students will be shaving their heads and/or donating their hair to raise money for cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Head for a Cure campaign will encompass an entire week of events run by a team of over 60 medical students. The actual head shaving presentation will take place April 26th and 27th in DS1002, UWO at 12:30pm. The female students will be shaving on the 27th. A silent auction will also be held throughout the week in the Medical Sciences foyer. The campaign will be culminating in a Gala with all four years of medical students on April 27th.
Bald is Beautiful!!
Why lose our Hair? We are hoping that giving up our hair will motivate you to contribute to this extremely worthwhile cause. As well, all hair that meets length requirements (12”) will be donated to make hairpieces for chemotherapy patients. We urge you to support this student-run endeavour, as it is an investment not only in a charitable cause, but also in the student energy behind it.
