Fundraising Tools - CIBC Run for the Cure

To recognize the hard work of our participants and teams, we’re excited to present Run Awards at each Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure location. Winners will also be posted on the CIBC Run for the Cure website.

The deadline to qualify for Run Awards is 10 p.m. PST on Friday, September 29, 2023.

My Run. Anywhere. Any way. Fundraising Award winners will be sent their plaques via mail post-event.


Individual Awards

Run Day Determination Award

The Run Day Determination Awards are presented to the top individual fundraisers at each Run location. There is a first, second and third place winner at each Run location.

Team Awards

The top fundraising team in each team category listed below will be presented with a special award to recognize the team’s contributions and hard work.

Corporate Spirit Award

The Corporate Spirit Award is presented to the top fundraising corporate team at each Run location. All winning teams are awarded a plaque on Run Day.

School Team Challenge Award

The School Team Challenge Award is presented to the top fundraising school team at each Run location. All winning teams are awarded a plaque on Run Day.

Friends and Family Team Challenge Award

The top fundraising Friends and Family Team Challenge Award is presented to the top fundraising friends and family team at each Run location. All winning teams are awarded a plaque on Run Day.

Women’s Team Challenge Award

The Women's Team Challenge Award is presented to the top fundraising women's team in each Run location. All winning teams are awarded a plaque on Run Day.

Team Tent Award

Your team can be recognized as one of the top 3 or 5 teams at your local CIBC Run for the Cure event! The top 3 teams who meet the minimum fundraising requirement by the deadline 10 p.m. PST on Monday, September 18, 2023, will receive their own team tent space. You can decorate the space, hang out there on Run Day and receive the VIP experience! Please see your team page for fundraising requirements for your Run for the Cure location.

For offline funds to be counted towards these awards, the funds must be displayed online by the deadlines above. Bank stamped, offline forms can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society via email to connect@cancer.ca or mailed to the address on the form. Processing times vary, but please allow a minimum of 3 weeks from receipt of the form by CCS to seeing offline fundraising reflected in your totals online.

Team Definitions

Corporate Teams

A team of co-workers from a company or workplace, an institution (hospitals, unions, etc.), business associates, clients or suppliers.

Friends and Family Team

A team of family, friends or community group members.

Women’s Team

A team of women only.

School Team

A team of students, teachers, parents or support staff from any elementary, junior, secondary, post-secondary, or graduate school.
