I want to order live daffodils but I only see information on holding events and ordering daffodil pins?

The Canadian Cancer Society has partnered with Loblaws and its affiliate stores to offer live daffodils which will be available at Loblaws, Zehr’s, Your Independent Grocer and Great Canadian Superstore locations from April 9-23 while supplies last. To keep costs down and ensure more of the funds raised are used to support our mission, the Canadian Cancer Society does not have live flowers available other than through Loblaws.

I don’t know how to hold an event. That seems like a lot of work.

Your Canadian Cancer Society representative is available to help you as you figure out the best type of fundraising for your business or school. I am a student. Can I count the time I work on the event towards the 40 hours I need to graduate?

Yes and so can other students who work on the event with you. Your Canadian Cancer Society representative will sign for your hours upon confirmation from your staff advisor.

I want to hold an event but I want us to have daffodil pins too. Are they available to order?

Yes. You can order daffodil pins to enhance your events and show your commitment to the fight against cancer here.

How can I change my daffodil pin order after it's been submitted online?

If you need to change your order please call our Daffodil Month hotline at 416-323-7154 or toll free 1-800-268-8874 ext. 7154. If you need to increase your order, please submit a second order for the new amount only. It will be added to your original order.

I do not want to order my pins online. I am not paying by credit card.

Call the Canadian Cancer Society to place your order over the phone if you need to make alternate arrangements to pay for your pins (i.e. cheque). You can reach us at 416-323-7154 or 1-800-268-8874 ext 7154.

Can we get a tax receipt for funds we raise during our events or ordering daffodil pins?

• If individuals make general donations in support of your Paint the Workplace or School Yellow, they can receive a tax receipt. If the donation is made online through your company’s fundraising page, the tax receipt will be automatically generated.
• If you are having a bake sale or charging admission or an entry fee for an event, these payments are not eligible for tax receipts.
• Daffodil pin purchases do not qualify for tax receipts in keeping with Revenue Canada tax receipting guidelines.
• If your company would like to make an additional donation or matching gift in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, we will issue a tax receipt in the amount of the donation.

When will the Canadian Cancer Society send out tax receipts for daffodil pin donations?

Please note: daffodil pin purchases are not eligible for tax receipts. Donors who have made a general donation online or made an additional online donation with their daffodil pin purchase will receive an official electronic tax receipt by email within minutes of a successful donation.

It is up to the individual as to whether they would like to pay $2, $5 or $10 for their daffodil pin. Choosing to pay a higher amount does not qualify the purchase for a tax receipt.

Why wasn't my credit card accepted?

There are several reasons a credit card might not be accepted. You might want to check that you have typed in the number correctly, that the expiry date is correct and that the name you've typed in appears exactly as it does on the card.
